Bats Hot as Marauders Take 10-3 Victory

Port Charlotte, FL - The Marauders (27-15, 59-53) stayed within two games of the Palm Beach Cardinals by extending Charlotte's (16-24, 61-49) losing streak to seven games on Sunday at Charlotte Sports Park. Bradenton raced to a 7-0 lead and never looked back while rolling to a 10-3 win.

C Jin-De Jhang and RF Harold Ramirez both hit three-run home runs for Bradenton. CF Austin Meadows went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

RHP Clay Holmes started for the first time since July 28 and fired four scoreless innings. RHP Felipe Gonzalez (W, 6-5), RHP Isaac Sanchez, and RHP Junior Lopez teamed with Holmes to limit Charlotte to six hits in the series finale.

NOTES: The game began at 1:02 p.m. under partly cloudy skies, 86 degrees, and wind blowing 7 mph from right to left ... The Marauders have swept four series this season and three have come on the road ... Jin-De Jhang has hit five home runs as a Marauder over the last two seasons with four of them coming against the Stone Crabs ... Bradenton is 9-6 against Charlotte this season and can do no worse than split the season series ...
