Bats Break Through in Win

(Beloit- WI)- The Burlington Bees carried over their late game offense from Tuesday night and went on to score six runs in a 6-2 win over the Beloit Snappers on Wednesday night in Beloit.

The Bees' bats broke out early as the Bees took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a single from Ranyemy Mendoza, scoring Stephen McGee.

Stephen McGee upped the Bees' lead in the third inning with a three run homer, making the score 4-0. Later in the inning Erick Salcedo singled to right, scoring both Ryan Dalton and Tyler Palmer, extending the Bees' lead to 6-0.

Beloit got on the board in the fourth inning thanks to RBI singles from Ryan Mathews and Tyler Marincov, cutting the Bees' lead to 6-2.

The Bees bullpen worked four scoreless innings with out allowing just one base runner, helping the Bees' close out a 6-2 win.

Bees' starter Victor Alcantara (5-4) picked up the win, while Snappers' starter Lou Trivino (4-8) was charged with the loss.

The Burlington Bees (48-40) and the Beloit Snappers (35-53) wrap up a three game series on Thursday at 7:00 PM. Harrison Cooney makes the start for the Bees against Dylan Covey for Beloit.
