
Bats & Badges Challenge Set for August 3rd at Chukchansi Park

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Police Officers Association (FPOA) and the Fresno County Sheriff's Office will face each other in the "Bats & Badges Challenge" at 12 pm on Saturday, August 3rd at Chukchansi Park. The nine-inning baseball game between the FPOA and Sheriff's Office will benefit the Fresno County Peace Officer Memorial. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer and Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Tickets can be picked up at the Fresno Police Officers Association, located at 994 N. Van Ness Ave in Fresno, or at the Fresno Deputy Sheriff's Association (FDSA), located at 1360 Van Ness Ave. in Fresno.
The Fresno County Peace Officer Memorial foundation assists with the needs of families of fallen officers as well as maintains the Memorial Wall at Courthouse Park in Fresno.
