Aces Drop Series Opener, 4-2

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.-Despite outhitting their opponent, the Reno Aces fell 4-2 to the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Tuesday night in the series opener at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Aces batters combined for six hits on the night, compared to five for the RedHawks, including a multi-hit performance by Tony Campana. Reno pushed across a pair of runs in the sixth on a ground out and a single for their only offense of the night.

Juan Rivera's hot streak continued for Reno, as he went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

D-backs RHP Trevor Cahill was charged with four runs-three earned-on five hits through 5.1 innings in continuation of his Major League Rehab Assignment. He struck out three and walked three in the loss, and his only 1-2-3 inning came in the fifth.

The series continues Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. RHP Mike Bolsinger (4-4, 3.90 ERA) will take the mound for Reno, while the RedHawks will counter with LHP Wade LeBlanc (2-1, 6.23 ERA). First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT, and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.
