Barracudas Add Three to the Roster

HIDALGO, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas announced today the addition of three new players to the roster for their weekend games versus Pacific Division rival Tacoma Stars and Turlock Express. Per team and league policies, details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Midfielder Topiltzin Mendez joins the Barracudas as a midfielder that has played for the team as they played in Brownsville. The native of Matamoros, Mexico has played in 37 games dating back to 2014-2015 season where tallied four goals and four assists while blocking 24 shots.

Defender Reynol Fuentes Jr. is a native of Edinburg, Texas and joins the Barracudas after playing in several PASL Premier teams including the RGV Devils under coach Quiroz. Fuentes was also a member of Hidalgo-La Fiera in 2014-2015 but did not register any stat.

Forward and Brownsville, Texas native Juan Ibarra joins the Barracudas as his first season of arena soccer. Ibarra played for the Laredo Heat of USL-PDL team and played collegiately at the University of Texas at Brownsville.

The Barracudas next home game is when they host in-state and division rival El Paso Coyotes on Sunday; January 28 with the kickoff set for 5:05 PM CST.
