Barons Win Fourth Straight in OT, 1-0 over Utica

Jason Williams scored the game's only goal in overtime to lift the Oklahoma City Barons to tie a single-season franchise record sixth overtime win by defeating the Utica Comets 1-0 Tuesday night at the Cox Convention Center.

With 2:27 left in the overtime period, Williams took a pass from Curtis Hamilton near the high Utica slot and fired a shot through the legs of Comets goalie Joacim Eriksson to give the Barons their fourth consecutive overtime victory.

Oklahoma City net minder Richard Bachman stopped all 35 shots he faced to earn his sixth win of the season, while Eriksson made 34 saves for Utica.

With its fifth consecutive win, Oklahoma City improved to 12-4-2-2 and are undefeated in their last eight games and the last eight games played at the Cox Convention Center.

The Barons' next game is Friday, Dec. 5 when they travel to Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins in a 6 p.m. CST start at Van Andel Arena.
