
Barons Welcome Division Rival Smokies to Regions Field

Birmingham, AL - The Barons return to Regions Field on Saturday, July 26th to begin a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The Barons are coming off a tremendous homestand that saw the sixth and seventhsellouts of the season at Regions Field. They lead the Southern League in total attendance through 50 home games (326,639) and average (6,533) and are ahead of the 50-game pace set during the Inaugural Season at Regions Field in 2013 (285,974) and 1994, the franchise's highest attended season in 1994 (315,527).
The homestand kicks off Saturday with Christmas In July at Regions Field featuring a Snow Globe giveaway for the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The game will feature festive holiday music and promotions while featuring a visit from Santa Clause himself! In addition, one lucky fan will win a grill during the game courtesy of All-South Appliance.
The weekend concludes with Salute To Armed Forces Sunday presented by DRASH and NAPA where the Barons will wear special camouflage uniforms as they pay tribute to the men and women of the United States armed forces. Sunday is also Marvel Universe Live Day at Regions Field, which will feature giveaways of special Marvel Universe prize bags and limited edition comic books.
On Monday, the Barons and Smokies meet in game three of their five game series with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Monday's throughout the season are also YP Monday's at Regions Field presented by YP.
Tuesday offers the perfect opportunity to feed the whole family during 50-Cent Hot Dog Night at Regions Field presented by Kayem, Flowers Baking Co., MINI of Birmingham and WIAT 42. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a special 2013 Championship Drink Tumbler courtesy of Little Debbie. Tuesday is also Social Media Night at Regions Field featuring special in-game promotions centered around the Barons Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Fans willalso have the chance to see animals from the Birmingham Zoo as part of Birmingham Zoo Night.
The homestand concludes with AAA Wednesday where AAA cardholders can receive $2 off admission by showing their card at the Joe Drake Ticket Office.
