Barons announce new August promotions

BIRMINGHAM, AL - In an effort to pack the promotional calendar with tons of family fun, the Birmingham Barons have announced today that several promotional nights will be added to the August schedule. Mark your calendars for the following nights:

Football Jersey Night - Wednesday, August 17th at 7:00 PM versus the Carolina Mudcats. All fans are encouraged to come out to the ballpark wearing their favorite football jersey. Any fan wearing a football jersey of any kind (high school, college, NFL or other) will be admitted to the game for just $1.00.

Barons History Night - Monday, August 22nd at 7:00 PM versus the Tennessee Smokies. Come out to the Met and enjoy a night of baseball and Barons history. Throughout the game there will be a Barons trivia contest and any fan that brings an old (pre-2005) Barons ticket stub to the game will get in for a discounted price. Bring an old Hoover Met ticket stub and get in for half price and bring in any old Rickwood Field ticket stub and get in for just $1.00 (Rickwood Classic stubs count as Hoover Met tickets). Each ticket stub will be good for the discount on one ticket.

Guarantee Win Night - Wednesday, August, 24th at 7:00 PM versus the Tennessee Smokies. Very few things in this world are truly guaranteed but on this night at the ballpark we guarantee that the Barons will win the game or we'll give you a ticket to another Barons 2005 regular season home game.

Mullet Night - Wednesday, August 31st at 7:00 PM versus the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. This night will be a tribute to the mullet hairstyle and anyone attending the game with a mullet will be admitted for just $1.00. Throughout the game there will be a tribute to the mullet and even a best mullet contest with the winner of the contest receiving free hair cuts for a year from Supercuts.
