Birmingham Barons News Release
Tuesday night's game between the Birmingham Barons and the Montgomery Biscuits has been postponed due to rain.
The two teams will play a double-header Wednesday with game one starting at 5:00 PM. Each game will be seven innings long with a thirty minute window between the end of game one and the beginning of game two.
The Barons will toss Tuesday's scheduled starter Matt Zaleski (4-0, 1.78) in game one and Wednesday's scheduled starter John Ely (11-2, 3.01) in the second game. It will mark the fourth the time the Barons have sent the duo to the mound for a double-header. The team has swept all three of the previous double-headers.
The Biscuits will counter with Tuesday's scheduled starter Rayner Oliveros (5-1, 2.83) in game one. The team has yet to announce a starter for game two.
The rain out marks the second time in as many home stands that Football Kickoff Night has been rained out. The Barons previously scheduled the promotion for the August 1 rainout against the Mobile BayBears.
