Barnstormers Training Camp Coming to Close

Oskaloosa, Iowa - The Iowa Barnstormers are wrapping up their Spring Training Camp at William Penn University and as they prepare to start the regular season as a member of the Arena Football League. The team will continue to practice daily through this Saturday, beginning at 8:00am at the Penn Activities Center.
Two community events remain on the schedule, with the first being held at the Oskaloosa High School Gymnasium on Thursday, March 1. From 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., guests can dine with the Barnstormers on a feast served by the Oskaloosa FFA. Following dinner, guests will be entertained as rookie players each have a turn in the spotlight with an impromptu performance as part of the new-player orientation. Tickets to the event are $10.00 for dinner and the show, or $3.00 per person for tickets to the show only.
To wrap up their stay in Oskaloosa, the Barnstormers will host a Family Night on Friday, March 2, at the Oskaloosa Christian School gymnasium, with dinner and games for the whole family. This event and fundraiser will begin at 6:00 p.m. and go until 8:00 p.m. Meal tickets are $5.00 per person with free will donations accepted.
In other team news, the Barnstormers announced yesterday the release of WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, WR Joey Hew Len and K George Pierson. The team also has been assigned K Craig Camay. Final cuts will be made this weekend as the Barnstormers roster is trimmed to 24.
Season tickets for the 2012 Barnstormers season remain on sale now starting at just $117.00 per seat. Individual and group tickets are also on sale. Don't miss a minute of the action this season!
