Lancaster's pre-season slate will open with a 1:00 contest on Friday, April 17 as the Barnstormers host the Camden Riversharks.
The annual FREE Fan Fest is scheduled for the following afternoon with the Barnstormers taking on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in a fun-filled day at the stadium on Saturday, April 18. Gates for Fan Fest will be opening at noon and the teams will be taking the field at 1:00 PM.
Lancaster Bible College's squad will head over to Clipper Magazine Stadium on Tuesday, April 21 for their second annual visit to Clipper Magazine Stadium for a chance to play against, and hobnob with, Lancaster's professional baseball team, many of whom have spent time in the big leagues. Game time will be 2:00 PM.
Admission to all three spring training games is free.
"We really want to see a packed house for Fan Fest," said general manager Kristen Simon. "But, it will be nice to see people in the ballpark enjoying a casual afternoon of baseball on those other two days as well. Those game against the college players are always fun."
On the 19th and 20th, the Barnstormers will embark on a two-day road trip to Camden and Southern Maryland for afternoon games.
The team will be arriving in the Red Rose City over the weekend of the 11th and 12th and will have four days of workouts at Clipper Magazine Stadium beginning on Monday, April 13.
To conclude spring training, the 2015 Barnstormers board a bus bound for BWI Airport on the morning of April 22. They will begin the title defense the following evening against the Sugar Land Skeeters, the same team they defeated in the 2014 Atlantic League Championship Series.
Following a seven-day road trip, the Barnstormers will get the home portion of the 2015 season underway at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Thursday, April 30 against the York Revolution.
