Barnstormers' Simpson Named to All-AFL First Team

CHICAGO - Eighteen players on the defensive side of the ball earned 2012 First- and Second-Team All-Arena honors, the AFL Office announced today. Among those honored was Barnstormers DB Jason Simpson who was named to the All-Arena first team.
Simpson (6-1, 200, Missouri) appeared in all 18 games for the Barnstormers in 2012, collecting 106 tackles and a franchise record 10 interceptions. A fan favorite for his hard hitting play, the sixth year veteran of Arena Football became the leader of the Barnstormers defense. He split time between DB and JLB and also was Iowa's primary kick returner, setting the franchise record with over 1,700 return yards.
