Barnstormers Schedule Open House for October 15th

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers announced today that the team will hold an open house/select a seat event on Saturday, October 15, 2011. The event will coincide with the Barnstormers Free Agent Tryout taking place at Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines. The open house runs from 9am-4pm and is FREE to the general public.

Fans are encouraged to attend this event where they will not only get a sneak peek of the 2012 Iowa Barnstormers, but also be able to pick out their seats for the upcoming 2012 season. Fans will also be able to meet several current Barnstormers players along with our new coaching staff, led by Head Coach Mike Hohensee. As an added bonus, the Barnstormers will be giving out FREE Hot Dogs and Soft Drinks outside the North Entrance to all fans in attendance beginning at 11:00a.m., while supplies last. Weather permitting, the Barnstormers will also have several tailgating games and fun activities for kids available on the North Plaza.

For those who wish to attend, parking will be available in the lots located directly North of the Event Center. All fans should enter the facility through the Arena's North Entrance (closest to the corner of 3rd St. and Crocker).

Those interested in participating in the Free Agent Camp are encouraged to pre-register by visiting the Iowa Barnstormers' home page at www.theiowabarnstormers.com and following the instructions on the Free Agent Camp link.
