Barnstormers Announce March 22 Public Scrimmage

DES MOINES - The locally-owned Iowa Barnstormers today announced the arena football team will be holding its final game scrimmage of training camp on 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22 at Vets Auditorium.
The Barnstormers Scrimmage will be free of charge and open to the public. All fans should enter the northwest entrance at Vets. Due to the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament games at Wells Fargo Arena, free parking will not be available.
Barnstormers' season ticket holders will also be able to pick up their 2008 Barnstormers Season Tickets on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Vets Auditorium. Season tickets are also available for pick on Thursday and Friday at the Barnstormers' Vets Auditorium offices from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Iowa Barnstormers open the 2008 season on the road Saturday, March 29 in Louisville, and the team's home opener is Monday, April 14 against visiting Lexington. Season tickets are still available and start as low as $80 and can be ordered at www.theiowabarnstormers.com or (515) 633-BALL.
Additionally, Barnstormers' team officials announced that the 2008 Training Camp roster has been trimmed to 30 players. The final Barnstormers active roster of 22 players will be announced Monday, March 24.
