DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers and the Indoor Football League (IFL) are pleased to announce their 2017 season schedule. The Barnstormers will open on the road against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The team will return to Des Moines for their home opener against in-state rivals the Cedar Rapids Titans on Sunday, March 24, 2017.

The Barnstormers 2017 home schedule will feature a total of eight games and will kick-off with a matchup versus in-state rival, the Cedar Rapids Titans. The home schedule also features the Green Bay Blizzard (April 7), Nebraska Danger (April 15), Colorado Crush (April 29), Cedar Rapids Titans (May 13), Green Bay Blizzard (May 26), Spokane Empire (June 9), and Sioux Falls Storm (June 17).

The 2017 season brings new and old rivalries for the Barnstormers. A featured road game will occur when the team travels to take on the Arizona Rattlers in week 2. The Barnstormers and Rattlers have a long-time rivalry, competing together in the Arena Football League (AFL). This off-season, Arizona made the transition from the AFL to compete as an IFL franchise. The Barnstormers will finish their road schedule with a trip to Utah on June 2, 2017 to take on the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles for the first time. The 2017 season will also feature travel to Green Bay Blizzard (March 12), Sioux Falls Storm (March 20), Cedar Rapids Titans (April 22), Green Bay Blizzard (May 6), Wichita Falls Nighthawks (May 20).

Once again this season, all Iowa Barnstormers home games will be played at Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Single game tickets will be available on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. A complete 2017 schedule is attached.
