Billings Leaving IFL in 2017
October 24, 2016 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Billings Wolves News Release
The Billings Wolves will not be an active member of the Indoor Football League in 2017 due to disagreements over regulations.
It's unfortunate that the team has to suspend operations and I feel terrible that a deal was unable to be made that would have kept the team playing in 2017.
I'd like to thank the fans that came out on day one to support the team and watched as we went from a first year program to a playoff bound team in year two. I'd like to thank EFX Sports and all the sponsors who partnered with the Wolves over the last two years. I'd like to acknowledge the long hours that the coaching staff logged to go from a first year program that lost its first seven games to being in the playoffs in year two, hosting a playoff game. To all the staff that poured in hours setting up deals, promotions, running the clock, stats and the various groups that worked on game day the Wolves would not have been able to take the field without you.
Sincerely,
Marc Burr II & The Billings Wolves Organization
