Billings Wolves v Colorado Crush Preview

The Billings Wolves return home Sunday to take on the Colorado Crush. Kickoff is 3:00 p.m. at EFX Sports Field at Rimrock Auto Arena.

The Billings and Colorado match up, features Coach Heron O Neal of the Colorado Crush facing off against his former Quarterback turned Head Coach in Chris Dixon of the Billings Wolves. During the 2015 season Colorado beat Billings in both match ups. The first time these two teams met this year, Coach Dixon and the Wolves got there first victory against Colorado. The Wolves defeated the Crush 47-30. The Billings Defense was able to hold the Colorado and the IFL's number 1 wide receiver Washington to 4 catches for 48 yards.

Colorado leads the series 2-1.

The Wolves at 3-4 are in third place in the Intense Conference.

The Wolves are coming off a victory against Green Bay 55-27, Quarterback Mason Espinosa in his second start set a new franchise record for passing touchdowns in a game with 6. His favorite targets Willie Downs and Marcus Barnett each had 2 recovering touchdowns last week against Green Bay. On the season Willie Downs has 24 catches and 6 touchdowns, Marcus Barnett has 21 catches and 7 touchdowns. On defense the Billings Wolves rank 1st in points per game (38) , yards per game (197), passing yards per game (123) rushing yards per game (74.4). The Wolves rank 3rd in inter portions with 9. The Defense is led by 2015 defensive rookie of the year Michael Green, this season Michael Green has 41 tackles and 2 interceptions.

The Crush are coming off a last second defeat against the Tri Cities Fever 39-31. Colorado is off to a 0-7 start and currently in the last spot in the conference. The Colorado offense this season has shown flashes of greatness and currently ranks 2nd in yards per game at 263.9. Ranked 3rd in Passing yards per game at 175.7. Quarterback Damian Fleming has passed for 16 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions in 5 games. Fleming is completing 61.8% of his passes. His favorite target DeMarius Washington leads the IFL in yards per game at 100.7. Washington has 43 catches for 795 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Colorado Crush offense ranks 7th in points with 45.3 per game. The Crush are 4th in rushing averaging 88.1. On the defensive side of the ball the Crush are ranked last in points at 57 per game. The Crush are allowing 261 yards per game which ranks last in the IFL.
