REGINA - The Regina Pats are pleased to announce the signing of forward Brayden Barnett to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Barnett, who suited up the last two seasons with the Regina Pat Canadians of the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League, was selected by the Pats 179th overall in the 2019 WHL Draft.

Over the last two seasons, including a shortened 2020-21 season, the six-foot-three Barnett has combined for 48 regular season games and 16 points in the SMAAAHL.

"Brayden is a big, strong player that we knew would take a little bit more time to develop when we drafted him," said Pats Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock. "He's put in the work over the last two seasons to position himself to be a Regina Pat, and we believe he will be moving forward."

By signing in the WHL, Barnett gains access to the WHL Scholarship Program. During the 2019-20 academic year, a total of 402 WHL graduates took advantage of the program.
