Somerset Patriots News Release
Fans with tickets from the Friday, August 19th and Sunday, August 21st Somerset Patriots games can redeem those tickets for a game from Friday, September 2nd through Monday, September 5th.
The Patriots did play games on August 19th and the double header on August 21st, but due to the storms in the area that day, tickets will be able to be exchanged.
Fans need to bring their ticket stubs from the games to the Patriots ticket office to redeem for the game of their choice from September 2nd through 5th.
The weekend has great promotions including:
Friday, September 2nd- FIREWORKS/ Sparkee and Sparky T-Shirts (1st 2,000) courtesy of Flemington Department Store. It is also Irish Night. The Patriots take on the Road Warriors at 7:05 pm.
Saturday, September 3rd- Josh Pressley Bobblehead Dolls (1st 1,500 Fans) presented by Zurich. Fans can meet Scooby Doo at the game. The Patriots take on the Long Island Ducks at 7:05 PM.
Sunday, September 4th- Fans will have the chance to Win $20,000 at the game and meet Yogi Bear. The game is also the re-scheduled Car Show Night with a pre-game Car Show in the Red Lot and pre-game parade. The Car Show begins at 3:00 pm and the Patriots and Ducks play at 5:05 pm. There will also be a Pre-GameAutograph Session courtesy of the Somerset County Park Foundation. Kids can Run The Bases in The Beez Foundation Diamond Derby following the game.
Monday, September 5th- Fans will be able to enjoy a Post Game Labor Day Fireworks Celebration after the Patriots 6:05 pm game against the Ducks. There will be $1.00 Hot Dogs all game long! Earlier in the day, the Patriots will host their Third Annual 5K Run.
Patriots To Host Hunger Action Night On 9/5/11
The Somerset Patriots have announced that they will host a food drive for Hunger Action Night to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey on Monday, September 5th for their 6:05 game against the Long Island Ducks.
Fans are asked to bring a canned, non-perishable food item to the game. The Patriots will provide a Buy One, Get One Free Coupon to the game with each food donation.
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey will offer a raffle ticket for a chance to win seating on the Suite Level for every five items of food donated.
The items that are most needed are canned fish or meat, milk (powdered and infant formulas), boxed meals, canned packaged meals, peanut butter, and canned vegetables or fruit.
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, a member of Feeding America, distributed 37 million pounds of food in the last year to people in need in 18 of New Jersey's 21 counties. They helped to feed 900,000 people in 2010. Their staff and volunteers fight hunger and poverty not only through the distribution of food and grocery products, but by education and training, and by creating new programs to meet the needs of low-income people. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey has earned Charity Navigator's highest honor, a four-star rating, for the second consecutive year.
