
'Sharks Win Sixth Straight

Camden Riversharks News Release
J.R. Mathes pitched seven strong innings as the Riversharks won their sixth straight game knocking off the Road Warriors by the final count of 7-3. The six-game winning streak is the second longest of the season for the Riversharks.
Mathes (5-5) pitched seven innings surrendering three runs on five hits without walking a batter.
Kelvin Villa (4-9) suffered the loss lasting just 2.2 innings allowing four runs on six hits while walking three.
Juan Francia got the Riversharks on the board first in the bottom of the 2nd with a two-out, RBI single to give Camden a 1-0 lead.
Camden extended their lead to 4-0 in the 3rd inning. After Willis Otanez drove home a run with an RBI single, Alvin Colina doubled to deep center field and brought home two more runs to make it 4-0.
Otanez was 3-for-4 on the game and extended his hitting streak to nine games.
The Road Warriors got a run back in the 4th inning as Luis Nieblas launched a solo home run, his 3rd of the season.
Leading 5-1 in the 5th, the Riversharks tacked on two more runs courtesy of a Juan Francia RBI single and a Lloyd Turner sac fly to push the lead to 7-1.
