Ottawa 67's News Release

Already having taken three of a possible four points on the weekend, the Ottawa 67''s (11-8-2) will look to end this three-game stretch on a high note, in a road matchup with the Peterborough Petes (7-10-1). Puckdrop is set for 2:05pm EST, and Barber Poles fans can catch all the action with a CHL TV subscription. Kenny Walls has the radio call on TSN1200.

Despite missing seven regular players, the 67's earned a 3-2 overtime win on home ice, yesterday afternoon, over the Eastern Conference's top team: the North Bay Battalion. Brady Stonehouse's fourth of the season opened the scoring, before Cam Tolnai tied the game late, and Vsevolod Gaidamak's team-leading 12th of the year won it in the extra frame. Will Cranley turned in another gem, stopping 20 shots.

It's something of a strange weekend of travel for the Barber Poles, having been in Oshawa on Friday night, home on Saturday, and back in Peterborough on Sunday.

These two teams have met twice on the year, with the season series sitting at 1-1. Speaking of Peterborough, they were last in action on Thursday night, against the same Battalion. Mason McTavish - returning from a stint with the NHL's Anaheim Ducks - scored a hat trick, with James Guy and J.R. Avon tallying the others, en route to a 5-3 victory. Goaltender Austin Tye stopped 19 shots, in the effort.
