Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
DAVENPORT, Iowa - The River Bandits won their fifth straight game Friday night with a 3-1 win over the Clinton Lumberkings. Quad Cities received strong pitching performances from starter Brett Adcock and reliever Edgardo Sandoval, combining to limit Clinton to just two hits. Home runs from Spencer Johnson and Marcos Almonte provided the scoring for Quad Cities.
Johnson broke a scoreless tie with a solo shot off of Clinton starter Nick Wells in the bottom of the second inning. The Lumberkings (6-9) tied the score the following half inning after Anthony Jimenez tripled then scored on a sacrifice fly by Bryson Brigman. In the bottom of the fifth, Almonte hit his third home run for Quad Cities (9-6) to put the Bandits ahead for good.
