Bakersfield Trades Zeller for Draft Picks

BAKERSFIELD, November 1, 2011 - The Bakersfield Jam has completed a trade that will send Luke Zeller and an 8th round pick (123rd overall; via Iowa Energy) in this year's draft to the Austin Toros in exchange for a 3rd round pick (41st overall; via Fort Wayne) in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft and the Toros' original 2nd round pick in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft.

Zeller, a 6'11" forward/center out of Notre Dame, was acquired by Bakersfield through a trade with the Iowa Energy last season. He averaged 6.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 49 games with the Jam during the 2010-11 season.

The 2011 NBA Development League Draft will take place this Thurday, November 3, at 4 pm PT. Bakersfield has three first round selections: sixth, eighth, and 13th overall picks.
