
Bakersfield Acquires Gallon for 2011 Draft Pick

BAKERSFIELD, March 3, 2011- The Bakersfield Jam have acquired Tiny Gallon from the Maine Red Claws in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft, the team announced today. The deal comes one day before the NBA Development League trade deadline.
6'9" 290 lbs center out of Oklahoma, Gallon was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 47th overall pick at the 2010 NBA Draft and released in October. He was invited to the Boston Celtics training camp but was subsequently released before the start of the season. Gallon came to Maine as an affiliated player from the Celtics, averaging 13.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in 35 games.
Gallon is expected to join the Jam tomorrow and make his Bakersfield debut tomorrow night against the visiting Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
