Skyforce Acquires Ogunoye

Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 3, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired forward Yemi Ogunoye from the available player pool. To make room for him on the roster the team waived guard Maureece Rice. He is expected to join the team in Austin for their matchup with the Toros on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT. The active roster now stands at 10 players.

Ogunoye averaged 5.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 39 games (three starts) with the Idaho Stampede last season after beginning the season with the Tulsa 66ers. He averaged 5.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in one-plus season with Tulsa. The 6-9, 210-pound forward was named The Summit League Defensive Player following his senior season at Oral Roberts University.

The Skyforce's next game is tonight at home against the Idaho Stampede. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena. Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2010-11 season are on sale.
