
Baggs Named Defensive Player of the Month

Saskatchewan Roughrider defensive end Stevie Baggs has been named the CFL's Gibson's Finest Defensive Player of the Month for August.
Baggs rounded off the month of August with an outstanding game in Montreal prior to the bye week. In that game he recorded ten defensive tackles, a special teams tackle, two quarterback sacks and a forced fumble. The Florida native currently leads the CFL with seven quarterback sacks to go along with 28 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two tackles for a loss and two fumble recoveries.
So far this season, Baggs has been named the Defensive Player of the Week twice. This acknowledgement marks his first Player of the Month Award.
