
Bachman Assigned To Idaho, Ford Re-Signed

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Wednesday that goalie Richard Bachman has been assigned to the Idaho Steelheads, Texas' ECHL Affiliate. Texas also announced that goalie Todd Ford has been re-signed to a 25-game PTO (professional tryout agreement).
Bachman has played in six games for the Stars this season, recording a 2.07 goals against average and a.927 save percentage. The rookie netminder leaves Texas with a 3-3-0 record. During his latest recall, Bachman recorded his first career AHL shutout with 17 saves in a 5-0 win at Hamilton on Feb. 16. Bachman returns to Idaho, where he was 14-5-3 with a 2.31 goals against average and a.909 save percentage.
The 22-year old was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round (#120 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Bachman played the previous two seasons with Colorado College, posting a 39-20-11 record with a 2.24 goals against average and a.922 save percentage. In two NCAA seasons, he posted seven shutouts.
Ford was re-signed after his previous 25-game PTO expired. The 25-year old has appeared in 11 games for Texas this season, posting 4-5-1 record with a 2.68 goals against average, a.913 save percentage and two shutouts. Prior to signing with the Stars in late December, the Calgary, AB native played in 24 games for the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, posting a 16-6-1 mark with a 2.88 goals against average, a.910 save percentage and one shutout.
Texas returns home on Friday, February 26th at 7:30 PM to host the Houston Aeros in the State Farm Lone Star Faceoff. The first 3,000 fans receive an Austin Diamond District Ice Girls poster and the Ice Girls will host a post-game meet and greet. On Friday, February 26th, Cedar Park Center will provide $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. Texas will continue the State Farm Lone Star Faceoff on Saturday at 7:35 PM in Houston on February 27th. Fans may view the game on FSN Southwest. On Sunday, the Stars wrap up their three-games-in-three-nights weekend with the San Antonio Rampage at 5:00 PM at Cedar Park Center. Fans may purchase a $20.00 terrace level ticket for the game that includes an all-you-can eat pass for nachos, hot dogs, peanuts and soft drinks. FSN Southwest will also broadcast the game on Sunday, February 28th. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1530-AM.
