Babenko on Players to Watch List

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is proud to announce that first year import forward Egor Babenko has been listed as a 'C' skater in the latest NHL Central Scouting Players to Watch for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

A 'C' rating indicates that Babenko could potentially be taken in the NHL Draft from rounds four to six.

In his first year with the Hurricanes, Babenko has collected 22 points (12g-10a) in 23 games so far this season. The 18- year-old from Tyumen, Russia was selected fifth overall in the CHL Import Draft in June. In 53 games in the Russian junior league last year, Babenko tallied 50 points (27g-23a) in 53 games with Ladia Togliatti.

Babenko is the only Hurricanes listed and is one of 51 WHL skaters to make the list.
