B-Sens Release Forward Max Gratchev

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have released forward Max Gratchev from his professional try-out contract.

Gratchev, 21, has appeared in 17 games with the Binghamton Senators this season recording two goals and three assists. He recorded his first American Hockey League goal Friday, Dec. 4 versus the Syracuse Crunch.

In 30 games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL this season Gratchev has recorded 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points.

Gratchev spent 2008-09 with the Lewiston MAINEiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he recorded 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points in 64 games played. Gratchev also appeared in one game with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, recording two penalty minutes in the game.

The Russian born left wing was the fourth round pick of the New York Islanders (106 overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League entry draft.

The Binghamton Senators will host the Rochester Americans tonight at 5:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
