Binghamton Senators News Release


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators were shut out by the Rochester Americans 4-0 in their second game of a three game weekend.

Neither team was able to score in the first period, but the Amerks made quick work of the remaining 12 seconds on a power play to begin the second period. Tim Schaller beat Chris Driedger just eight seconds into the middle frame to break the scoreless tie. Rochester outshot Binghamton 13-8 to keep their 1-0 lead intact heading into the final intermission.

Rochester solidified the win with three unanswered goals in the final period. Justin Bailey scored two goals with Binghamton native Jerry D'Amigo also putting home a tally for his eighth of the year.

Nathan Lieuwen picked up the shut out win with 23 saves while Driedger was handed the loss stopping 33 shots faced.

The Binghamton Senators finish the weekend with a 2:00p.m. puck drop in Hershey against the Bears. Fans can listen live on US 96.9FM, WINR 680AM or on the iHeart Radio app.
