B-Mets revved up for Motorsports Night

Celebrate America's passion for auto racing (& baseball) in the week leading up to the annual NASCAR Nextel Cup race, Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen, in upstate NY. The Binghamton Mets will host the first-ever Motorsports Night at NYSEG Stadium for the game against the Norwich Navigators on Monday, August 8th at 7 PM (Gates open at 6 PM).

The #77 Kodak/Jasper race car driven by NASCAR Rookie of the Year candidate Travis Kvapil will be on display. Watkins Glen Speedway will also provide a pair of race car simulators to test fans' racing skills decorated to look like NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s & Indy driver Buddy Rice's vehicles.

Drivers & cars from local tracks Five Mile Point, Thunder Mountain and Penn Can will be on site. A portion of the ticket proceeds sold by local racing participants and fans will go to the Spalding Foundation, a non-profit group for injured race drivers. Fans at the game will have a chance to win prizes like tickets to Bristol Speedway, used pit crew uniforms and more.
