
B-Mets & Family Enrichment Network To Launch Charity Bowling Tournament

Area baseball fans will join forces with the entire 2009 squad of Binghamton Mets to knock down pins and raise funds for Family Enrichment Network on Saturday, May 2nd at Midway Lanes in Vestal. The Binghamton Mets Base-Bowl Charity Bowling Tournament will occur after the team's 1:05 pm game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats with registration at 5 pm and the tourney kicking off at 6 pm.
All net proceeds of this 2nd annual event will benefit Family Enrichment Network. Entry fees for bowlers run $50 per person and $200 per team. Each participant will bowl three games with a B-Mets player and receive shoe rental, a dinner buffet, photo of their team and a souvenir goody bag including a t-shirt, B-Mets baseball, tickets to a future game and more. The festivities will include an opportunity to collect autographs from the entire team plus a silent auction.
"Family Enrichment Network impacts so many lives in Greater Binghamton, so we look forward to contributing to FEN's mission through this unique fundraising event," remarked B-Mets General Manager Scott Brown.
The vision of Family Enrichment Network is that all children and families in our service area have the opportunity to grow and develop to their full potential. By offering Head Start, Early Achievers & Youth Services, Health & Wellness Services, Child Care Resource and Referral, Family Support Services and Special Education Services, Family Enrichment Network is able to ensure children and their families in our community a better way in life.
