LOVES PARK, IL - The Rockford Aviators will host the Schaumburg Boomers for a 3-game stand this weekend. Our 1st game against Schaumburg will kick-start our Star Wars themed weekend. We will have guest Star Wars character appearances, including Boba Fett and Princess Leia, mini light-saber giveaways, and Family Day Sunday. If you are a die-hard Star Wars fan, you won't want to miss the next 3 games at Aviators Stadium.
Friday, June 19th @ 7:05 p.m. - Star Wars Character Appearances
Gates will open at 6:05pm, 1 hour before the first pitch. We will have special Star War character guest appearances. Boba Fett and Princess Leia will be in attendance and fans will be able to take pictures with them and show off their own Star Wars apparel. The Aviators encourage all fans to sport any type of Star Wars apparel, costumes, and accessories. The more Star Wars fans in Aviators Stadium the better. Best dressed Star Wars fan will receive an autographed baseball from a player of their choice.
Saturday, June 20th @ 7:05 p.m. - Surprise Mini-Light-Saber giveaway & Kids Run the Bases
Saturday the Aviators will be handing out special mini-light-sabers to the first 300 fans through the gate. So kids who are looking to complete their Star Wars costume or just contribute to the weekend theme should be sure to get here early. After the conclusion of the contest between the Aviators and the Boomers, children will be invited down to the field to participate in running the bases.
Sunday, June 21st @ 3:05p.m.- Family Day, Kids Club, & Kids Play Catch on the Field
Bring the entire family out to Aviators Stadium for our Sunday Star Wars Family Day. Kids Club members get in free and families with VIP Kids Club members can receive $2 off their tickets. Be sure to remember your child's Kids Club member card. Kids will also be allowed on the field from 2:00-2:35pm before the game to play catch.
