Rockford Aviators News Release

Loves Park, ILLINOIS - The Rockford Aviators fell to the Windy City ThunderBolts 10-2 Tuesday night at Aviators stadium. The loss halted a 4-game winning streak for the Aviators and was the third time they've fallen to Windy City this year.

The ThunderBolts were able to knock around Aves starter Kyle Allen for 8 runs, 6 of them earned, over 3.2 innings pitched. Making just his second start since returning from a forearm injury that kept him on the IR for a month, Allen surrendered 4 in the 2nd, 1 in the third, and 3 in the 4th. He took the loss, his second of 2015.

Danny Jimenez took the hill for the ThunderBolts and was sharp, having to face just 19 batters over his first 6 innings pitched. Brian Bistagne was able to tag him for his 3rd homerun of the year to start the seventh. The solo blast was the only tally Jimenez would surrender on his way to earning his 3rd victory.

Everyone in the Windy City order reached at least once. They got 2 hits and 3 runs scored from Max White and a homerun and 2 RBI from Andrew Gallagher.

Rockford got a late RBI from Anthony Renteria, who drove in Tyler Smith in the 8th. It was the 5th RBI over the last 4 games for Renteria.

The two teams meet again tomorrow at Aviators Stadium. Payton Baskette is expected to start for Rockford. For tickets, call 815-885-BALL or email tickets@rockfordaviators.com.
