Aviators Fall 5-3 to Bolts

LOVES PARK, IL- The Rockford Aviators, presented by Pearson, saw their winning streak come to end Sunday night. Aviators pitchers totaled ten strikeouts but it wasn't enough as the Aviators fell 5-3 against the Windy City Thunderbolts.

Ryan Mclntyre hit a two run home run in the top of the first that gave the Thunderbolts an early 2-0 lead.

They scored three more to give them a 5-0 lead in the top to the fourth before the Aviators answered back.

Kyle Bruggemann pitched seven innings for the Aviators. After allowing five runs through four innings, Bruggemann did not allow a hit the rest of his outing. He struck out six Thunderbolts Sunday night.

In the bottom of the fourth Kenny Bryant hit a RBI double that scored Tanner Witt. The Aviators missed out on a golden opportunity though as they left the bases loaded with no outs and only scored one run that cut into the deficit to 5-1.

Tanner Witt hit a RBI single in the fifth inning, that cut the lead the to 5-2.

Dusty Robinson hit a RBI triple that scored Tanner Witt from first and the Aviators again cut into the deficit making the score 5-3. The Aviators left nine batters on base tonight, six in scoring position.

The Aviators continue the series with the Thunderbolts tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. This is your chance to see the Aviators play for absolutely no cost to you.
