Salem RidgeYaks News Release
Avalanche C Lou Santangelo was 3-for-3 with a home run, his seventh of the year, leading Salem to a 5-2 win over the Frederick Keys in the rubber match of the three-game series.
Santangelo scored three of Salem's five runs on the night.
Frederick would have their opportunities, as Avalanche pitchers combined to walk eight in the game, but the Keys stranded eleven runners on base.
A Salem bullpen trio pitched flawlessly with Rory Shortell picking up the win (3-3), and Rodrigo Escobar getting his eleventh save.
Salem hits the road to take on the Lynchburg Hillcats for four games starting Thursday night at 7:05 PM.
