Austin, TX - The Austin Toros donned pink jerseys in support of Susan G. Komen Austin and breast cancer awareness and defeated the Iowa Energy 131-98 Friday evening at Cedar Park Center.

The Toros scored a season best 41 points in the first quarter and took a 74-46 lead into the half. For the night, the Toros grabbed a new season best 61 rebounds to the Energy's 41, along with 27 assists to their 14.

Flip Murray led all scorers with 20 points, along with four assists. Six total Toros finished in double-digits including Courtney Fells (18), Greg Gantt (17), Myck Kabongo (11), Jazwyn Cowan and Dexter Pittman who both earned double-doubles with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 17 points, 11 rebounds, respectively. Cowan topped his season-high points and tied his season record for rebounds.

Six Iowans finished in the double-digits including Othyus Jeffers (16), Glen Rice Jr. (16), Augustus Gilchrist (11), Chris Allen (12), Austin Freeman (15), and Larry Owens (12).

The Toros (15-24) travel to Reno to take on the Bighorns on Mar. 11. The Energy (21-15) head home for a Mar. 9 match up against Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
