
Austin Toros Obtain Chris Roberts In Trade With Texas Legends

Austin, TX Jan. 22, 2013 - The Austin Toros today announced a trade with the Texas Legends bringing Chris Roberts to Austin in exchange for guards Justin Dentmon and Luther Head. Roberts will join the team this week in time for the Toros' matchup against the Idaho Stampede on Friday night at Cedar Park Center.
"While trading Justin Dentmon was a difficult decision we are thrilled to welcome Chris Roberts to the Toros," said Sean Marks, Toros General Manager. "Chris is a talented young player with a big upside and a bright future ahead of him"
Roberts (6-4, 205, Bradley) played two years at Navarro College and finished his collegiate career at Bradley where he averaged 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds his senior year. The Texas native has played two seasons with the Legends and currently averages 17.9 points and 6.0 rebounds in 16 games/starts. Most recent, Roberts was named 2013 NBA D-League Showcase Second Team.
