Austin Schneider Named PBL South Division Pitcher of the Week

WINDSOR, Colo. - Northern Colorado Owlz pitcher Austin Schneider has been named the Pioneer League South Division Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 26-July 2.
Schneider made two starts in the week, pitching 11.1 innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on 10 hits with five walks and 15 strikeouts. He also earned the win in an 8-2 Owlz victory over the Grand Junction Jackalopes, a game that saw him record a season-high 10 strikeouts.
For the season, Schneider is third in the PBL with 50 strikeouts and leads the Owlz with a 5.02 ERA in eight starts. He will be on the mound tonight against the Boise Hawks.
