Austin FC Announce List of Protected Players Ahead of 2021 MLS Expansion Draft

Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC has announced its protected players list ahead of Tuesday's Major League Soccer (MLS) Expansion Draft, which will see 2022 expansion club Charlotte FC select five (5) players for its inaugural roster.

ATXFC will protect 14 total players: 12 chosen by the Club as required by MLS, and two (2) who are automatically protected due to Homegrown or Generation adidas status. Per Expansion Draft rules, Charlotte FC may not select more than one (1) player from any club, including Austin FC.
