August Players of the Month Chosen by Fans

DAYTON, OH - For the third consecutive season, the Dayton Dragons and 1410 ESPN Radio WING AM have teamed up to honor the Dayton Dragons 1410 ESPN Radio Hitter and Pitcher of the Month. After fan-voting for the last week, Michael McKennon (hitter) and Curtis Partch (pitcher) were selected as the August Players of the Month. McKennon and Partch will be honored after the completion of the third inning tonight with an on-field presentation and awards handed out by ESPN Radio's Mark Neal.

Each month, three hitters and three pitchers will be selected as nominees based on their performances on the field. McKennon beat out Zack Cozart and Jake Kahaulelio for the month, while Partch squeezed by Aguido Gonzalez and Jeremy Horst according to the fan votes.

A complete list of 1410 ESPN Radio Hitter and Pitcher of the Month nominees is included below (NOTE: The award was a combined award in April of 2006 before being split to honor both a hitter and pitcher in May of 2006).
