In the first inning, David Hamilton led off with a single to center and stole his 51st bag of the season. Roby took a base hit into center, driving in Rincones to tie the game 2-2. In the bottom half, Alex Binelas led off with a walk and moved to second on a base hit by Nick Northcut. Izzy Wilson grounded into a double play, advancing Binelas to third. Elih Marrero singled to center to score Binelas, giving the Sea Dogs the lead once again, 3-2. With one out in the seventh, Armani Smith homered to right. It was his second home run of the season and evened up the score at 3-3. In the tenth, Carter Aldrete started the inning as the extra-innings runner at second. Michael Gigliotti advanced Aldrete to third on a sacrifice bunt, and Tyler Fitzgerald brought him home on a sacrifice fly to right, giving the Flying Squirrels a 4-3 lead. The Sea Dogs came up to the plate in the bottom of the 10th with Wilyer Abreu as the extra-innings runner at second. Ceddanne Rafaela reached on a bunt single, putting runners at second and third. Koss brought in Abreu with a sacrifice fly to right, tying the game 4-4. Stephen Scott was intentionally walked, once again putting runners on the corners. Alex Binelas stepped into the batter's box and roped a single down the right field line, bringing in Rafaela, and walking off the Flying Squirrels 5-4.

STILL STREAKING - Tyler Dearden is currently riding a 12-game on-base streak, dating back to July 14 at Hadlock Field. During the streak, he has gone 15-for-40 (.375), with four doubles, two home runs, five RBI, and eight walks. He has also collected five multi-hit games since starting the streak, racking up two hits in each of those games.

TWO MORE - After Michael Wacha tossed 4.1 innings in a rehab appearance last night, there will be two more major league rehabbers added to the Sea Dogs roster for tonight's game. INF/OF Kikè Hernandez and RHP Tyler Danish are joining the team in Portland. Hernandez has played in 51 games this season for the Red Sox, posting a .209 batting average with four homers and 24 RBI. Danish has appeared 26 times for the Red Sox this year, all in relief. Over those outings, he has put together a 4.02 ERA over 31.1 innings, making his last appearance in the big leagues on July 6th.

ON-BASE MACHINE - Stephen Scott has frequented the base paths over the last 15 games, posting a .273 average and a .469 on-base percentage. Overall, he is 12-for-44, with three doubles, one triple, and four homers. Although those numbers are good, Scott has used his plate vision to find success, working 17 walks and struck out just nine times over the last 15 games. His time spent on base has resulted in 13 runs scored while driving in nine runs on his own.

THIS DATE IN SEA DOGS HISTORY - August 10, 2005 - The Sea Dogs completed their eighth series sweep of the season after their win against New Britain. Portland swept a franchise-record four series of at least four games during the 2005 season. They have won four-game sets over Norwich, Trenton and New Britain while sweeping six games from Harrisburg in June

PITCHING MATCHUP - Thaddeus Ward is set to make his second start of the season tonight for the Sea Dogs. He last started August 9th against Erie and tossed 3.2 shutout innings allowing one hit. He gave up five walks while walking two. He has not faced the Flying Squirrels.
