Auditions scheduled for Brahmas Dancers

For the fourth consecutive season, the Fort Worth Brahmas will be fielding a squad of Brahmas Dancers that will perform at Brahmas home games and at various promotional appearances on behalf of the team.
The Brahmas will be holding open auditions for their 2004-2005 Brahmas Dancers on Saturday, August 7 at Billy Bob's Texas (2520 Rodeo Plaza, Fort Worth). Registration for the auditions will be from 12:00 noon-1:00 p.m. The auditions will then be conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Prospective dancers will be taught a tryout routine, and the audition will consist of a preliminary round and a final round. All candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a dance and/or cheer background, and have a high school diploma. Prospective dancers must bring a dance or performance resume and a headshot to the auditions. They should also wear a two-piece leotard, dane or athletic sneakers, and have "performance ready" hair and makeup.
The tryout routine for the dance team candidates will be choreographed and taught by Nicole Minder, the Dance Team Coordinator of the Brahmas Dancers. A group of judges will rate candidates on dance technique, style, showmanship, personality, and personal appearance. Thirteen spots on the dance team will be up for grabs at the audition.
Nate Ferrall, the Brahmas' Director of Marketing and supervisor of the Brahmas Dancers, is looking forward to this year's auditions.
"The Brahmas Dancers are a valuable part of our organization, and we want to have the best group of women possible. These auditions are a great opportunity for individuals to be a part of a fun and exciting professional dance squad," stated Ferrall.
