Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack drafted two players earlier this evening in the U18 Priority Selection.

Owen Sound's 1st round pick, Ryan Stansel, was taken 9th overall. A 6' defenseman from Ottawa, he put up 21 points in 45 games this past season with the Hawkesbury Hawkes of the HEOMAAA.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says: "He's sound defensively, a good puck mover with great feet."

In the 2nd round, the Attack stayed in the HEO taking Centre Logan LeSage 29th overall. The 5'10 forward from Nepean scored 15 times and added 20 assists in 39 games this past season for the Carleton Place Canadians MAAA.

DeGray added: "LeSage has good skills, plays a 200 foot game, and can be a little bit chippy."

Teams in the U18 Draft only receive a 3rd round pick if they select a goalie in the first two rounds of the draft.
