Attack Starts New Year With Win

Payton Liske, Mike Angelidis, and Scott Tregunna scored for the Owen Sound Attack as the picked up a New Years Day 3-2 win over the visiting Barrie Colts.

With the win the Attack record improves to 18 wins, 15 losses, 2 overtime losses, and 3 shootout losses. That gives them 41 points as they move into 5th in the Western Conference, just 4 points behind the Kitchener Rangers for 4th.

The next home game for the Attack is Wednesday, January 4 at 7pm for the only visit of the season for the Toronto St. Michael's Majors. The game is sponsored by Stan Brown Printers with $300 in gift certificates to be given away throughout the game. The box office is closed Monday, January 2 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3 at 9am. Tickets can also be ordered by phone at 371-7452 or toll free 1-866-5ATTACK. Then it's on the road to Windsor to take on the Spitfires on Thursday, January 5 at 7:30pm. Fans can listen to the game live on Bear Radio on 560 CFOS or on the internet at www.attackhockey.com. Fans can also watch the game live on Rogers Cable Channel 53.
