Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack have named right winger Daylon Groulx the Huron Tractor Supply Player of the Week for the fourth week of the Ontario Hockey League season.
Groulx, a native of Fort Erie, Ontario, is playing his 3rd season with the Owen Sound Attack, with 3 goals and 7 total points in 9 games this season thus far.
Two of those goals came in the Attack match up against the Guelph Storm on Friday, Oct 12. Groulx' first of the night came about halfway through the second to tie the game up 2-2 on the powerplay. Then again, at about halfway through the third period, he sniped it past Storm netminder Anthony Popovich to bring the score to 4-3 Guelph.
Although the Attack fell to the Storm on Friday night, Groulx' efforts did not go unnoticed. He was awarded third star honours on the evening for his 2 goals.
Groulx also assisted rookie defenceman Nolan Seed's first OHL goal in the Saturday night contest at home against the London Knights, bringing the final score to a 4-3 win at home for the Attack.
Sitting third on the team for points, Groulx has 3 goals and 4 assists in 9 games played.
Video highlights of Groulx' week can be found below.
The Attack will continue the 2018-19 OHL season tomorrow night, Wednesday Oct. 17 when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs for their first match up of the season, a 7:00pm puck drop at the Harry Lumley Bayshore. Tomorrow night is also Aidan Dudas Bobblehead Night!
