Attack Hit the Road

Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack has set out for their biggest road trip of the season this weekend as they travel to Saginaw, Sarnia and Plymouth. The Attack currently sit tied with Sarnia for 4th spot in the Western Conference and need only one point to clinch a playoff spot or losses by either Windsor, Guelph or Sault Ste. Marie.

Conceivably, the Attack could finish anywhere from 3rd-8th in the Western Conference, although it is looking more and more like a battle between Saginaw, Sarnia and the Attack for the 4-6 spots. Should the Attack finish in 6th, it is looking more apparent that the Kitchener Rangers will be the opponent whereas if they finish in 4th or 5th, the opponent could either be the Sarnia Sting or the Saginaw Spirit, meaning this weekend is incredibly important for playoff positioning.

Mike Halmo needs just one goal to become the 5th OHL Player to hit the 40 goal mark this season and the 6th Attack player to hit the 40 goal mark in a season, joining Garrett Wilson, Bobby Ryan, Mike Angelidis, Brad Richardson and Wes Goldie.

All games this weekend can be heard live on Grey Motors Bear Radio with Fred Wallace on 560 CFOS and Saturday's game against Sarnia can be seen live on Rogers TV local channel 53.

Tickets for the St. Paddy's Day Fundraiser with the Geoff Stevens Band are on sale at the Attack Box Office for just $10.00. The event is proudly supported by Dennis Herman of Remax Grey Bruce and Bayshore Broadcasting.
