Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack did their best to make things interesting in game one of the Western Conference Semi-Finals, defeating the Whalers by a score of 4-3 in overtime. After scoring the first goal of the game, the Attack gave up the next three but was able to counter back with two goals to tie the game before potting the overtime winner.

"The way we won the game definitely wasn't by design but we played well in the third period and overtime and were able to grind out a win.", said Attack Captain Garrett Wilson. "Scott came in and made a few big saves early after Zades (Michael Zador) held the fort for the first two."

Game two of the series goes Saturday evening in Plymouth at 7:05pm. Restrictions will prohibit the games from being shown on local Rogers TV, however; fans wanting to view the game can do so by viewing it on OHL Livestream. The link to the Livestream site is http://ohl.neulion.com/ohl/ . Fans can also listen to the game with Fred Wallace; live on Grey Motors Bear Radio on 560 CFOS starting at 6:45pm.

Game three of the series will go Monday evening in Owen Sound at 7:05pm. Tickets are available by visiting the Attack Box Office in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre or calling the Box Office at (519) 371-7452. The Attack has extended the Season Ticket Holder deadline for picking up tickets. Season Ticket Holders will have until 11:00am on Monday to claim their seats for that evening's game or they will be released to the general public.
