Atlanta United FC News Release

ATLANTA - Atlanta United today launched its second annual Unite and Conquer Cancer campaign that will run throughout the month of September. The mission is to give a platform to local organizations that work to make strides in childhood cancer research as well as give a voice to children and young adults who are fighting cancer. Throughout the month, Atlanta United will be hosting a variety of community volunteer events and hospital visits, as well as a Unite & Conquer Cancer match on September 22 vs. Real Salt Lake presented by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, which will include a special giveaway opportunity for fans that will raise funds for Children's. For more details, visit the Unite & Conquer Cancer landing page here and follow @ATLUTD on Twitter.

The Unite and Conquer Cancer campaign stems from MLS Works' annual Kick Childhood Cancer initiative to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. MLS will "Go Gold' for the month-long promotion taking place on national broadcasts, through social and digital channels, in-stadium and led by all 23 MLS Clubs through various local activations.

This afternoon members of Atlanta United visited Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston Hospital. Atlanta United players Brad Guzan, Michael Parkhurst, Brandon Vazquez and Oliver Shannon spent time at the hospital as part of the club's kickoff to the Unite and Conquer Cancer campaign.
