Atlanta United FC News Release
ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced it has finalized its local television broadcast team for the 2022 season. Kevin Egan (play-by-play), Maurice Edu (analyst) and Jillian Sakovits (host/reporter) return for Bally Sports South & Southeast television coverage.
"We're excited to welcome back our outstanding TV broadcast crew for the 2022 season" Atlanta United President Darren Eales said. "Jill, Kevin and Maurice formed an exceptional team in their first year together last season and we're looking forward to continuing that momentum as we begin our sixth season."
Bally Sports South and Bally Sports Southeast will televise 19 of 34 Atlanta United matches for the 2022 Major League Soccer regular season. In addition, Atlanta United LIVE pre- and postgame shows will air before and after every match on the networks.
Egan returns for his sixth season as play-by-play voice of Atlanta United. The Dublin, Ireland native got his start in 2004 with Ireland's national broadcaster RTE before moving to Chicago in 2009. Egan also currently works for WWE as a backstage correspondent for Raw, a play-by-play commentator for Main Event, and as co-host of all WWE PPV Kickoff Shows, such as Wrestlemania. He also currently works for CNN International (football correspondent) and SiriusXM FC.
Edu, a former U.S. international, returns for his second season as analyst. Following his retirement from professional soccer in 2018, Edu has been heavily involved in television, currently serving as studio analyst for MLS, the U.S. Men's National Team and other soccer properties on FOX Sports, as well as analyst for CBS Sports' Concacaf World Cup Qualifying and UEFA Champions League.
Sakovits enters her fifth season as the club's pre-and post-game host and sideline reporter. She is also the co-host of The Call Up, an official league podcast, that airs every Tuesday on the Major League Soccer YouTube channel. Sakovits has held and holds various roles across the professional sports landscape, including MLS on FS1, SiriusXM FC, the Big Ten Network, MLB.com, NHL.com, and MLSsoccer.com.
The network's Atlanta United broadcast schedule can be found here (subject to change) with local channel listings listed here.
